宮城勝規出生於沖繩縣，擅長表達動物的主題。近來他在畫人、動物、或是幽靈時，創作方式開始產生了一些變化。例如人物形象會長出耳朵或長腳，變身型態似乎是他在不斷的錯誤中反覆進行的新嘗試。他期盼給這些無形的世界，從他讀過的書與小說中透過富有想像力的奇幻世界去創作並傳達給世界上的人們了解。

Katsunori MIYAGI born in Okinawa. He paints animals; sometimes human with strange ghostly qualities; horns, etc. These mysterious spiritual dimensions aren't easy to define but he has an image in his mind's eye and, in giving the image a shape and a reality, HeI follows my imagination. His aim is to give imaginative life to these intangible worlds that have come down to me through the books and stories that he has read.
