陳威呈(b.1977 )成長於雲林鄉間，畢業於大葉大學造形藝術系，專攻繪畫，以及屏東教育大學視覺藝術教育研究所藝術學碩士。透過屏教大林右正教授的介紹，陳威呈進駐枋寮藝術村，成為文建會鐵道藝術網絡枋寮站F3藝文特區的駐村藝術家，並積極深耕偏鄉的藝文教育，於家鄉務農期間也不忘創作熱情，亦在國小美術班兼任教學藝術與人文課程。其作品題材多圍繞生活和自然，包含花卉等靜物創作，以及台灣在地人文風情，以寫實的筆法細膩描繪，展現其對於周遭人、事、物、情的觀察，亦將繪畫融合佛法思想，傳遞極富生活情趣的藝術表現，不僅為觀畫者提供心靈沉澱的想像空間，也為作品添上幾分寧靜、寡欲的意境。

CHEN Wei Cheng was born in 1977 and grew up in the countryside of Yunlin. He graduated from the Department of Plastic Arts at Da Yeh University and completed a master's degree in the Department of Visual Arts at National Pingtung University. Through the professor’s introduction, CHEN settled in Fangliao Art Village and became an artist-in-residence. CHEN is not only a prolific artist in his hometown, but also actively involved in art education in rural areas. Apart from continuing to create his works, he taught art classes in elementary schools. CHEN's works mainly focus on life and nature, including still-life paintings of flowers and local cultural customs in Taiwan. He demonstrates mastery of realistic painting techniques, using them to convey his understanding of the world and emotions. Furthermore, CHEN combines Buddhist ideas with artistic creation, giving his works a tranquil and profound artistic conception.
